1 janv. 1863 - Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation

Description:

Lincoln issued a preliminary Emancipation Proclamation in September 22, 1862 but it wasn't final. President Abraham Lincoln issued the FINAL Emancipation Proclamation January 1st, 1863, which enslaved ALL slaves in confederate states.
Not only was this great for slaves, but this actually also helped the Union because many slaves wanted to fight with the Union and help end the Confederacy. This weakened the South because the South was forcing slaves to fight but since they didn't have to fight for them anymore, the South had less soldiers.
