The Kent State Massacre was students protesting the bombing of Cambodia. United States military forces clashed with Ohio national guardsmen on the campus of Kent State. The national guardsmen thought that he had heard a gunshot so he shot and killed four and injured 9 people.---Shootings became the focal point of a nation deeply divided by the Vietnam War.
