It snowed a lot overnight, so I had to shovel my driveway. This event was impacted by globalization in a multitude of ways. First the snow that fell on my driveway was a result of global warming (harsh winter) due to the environmental factor of globalization. The pollution that comes from big corporation factories contributes to global warming. Secondly the shovel I used was from Wal-Mart, a multi-national company. Globalization factors such as economy, culture/society and environment have impacted this event. Since Way-Mart is a must-national company, it can benefit from production in poor countries with cheap labour and trade (economic). These production plants also products many greenhouse gases due to lack of environmental laws in the countries to which they are produced (environment). Wal-Mart also sells a variety of products (a variety of shovels) so the Canadian consumer has many choices (cultural).
