Labour is one of the two major parties that dominate British politics. Labour was founded on the basis of social democratic ideas for the working man/ women. Labour came around at a time to come in direct opposition the Conservative Party that was born decades before. Labour's core principles remain true to this day as their parties image is rather consistant they believe in socialized programs to better the British working class. This in itself is a very liberal idea, giving the power of government ot the workers and allowing for the working class to vote and represent itself.
