Composer: JosquinThe title translates to “Mass on Sing, tongue: Kyrie and Credo”. It is a paraphrase mass based on the melody of the hymn Pange lingua gloriosi, assigned to second Vespers on the feast of Corpus Christi (which he based all the movements of the mass on). Excerpts from the Credo demonstrate Josquin’s attention to text expression.
