**The Battle of Yorktown was the final battle in the fight for American Independence**. With the help of the French Navy, American soldiers cornered the British soldiers into declaring a surrender. The Battle of Yorktown was followed by the Treaty of Paris in 1783. The Treaty officially ended the America Revolutionary War.
