Description:

*Slavery in the American colonies was based off of what was going on in the Caribbean.* These slaves were brought over in horrific conditions. Not only did these slaves have to work in brutal conditions, but they were also beaten, tortured, sexually abused, and even killed. These people were given no education and could not have any possessions. Their will to live was taken away when they were brought over to the Americas. These slaves were put into very harsh working conditions in the south. These people were used as objects. They were even encouraged to have children for the sole purpose that the white men would have workers. Key Concept 2.2, II.
