Description:
A series of revolts against the Ottoman empire occurred from 1875 to 1876. This caused the Russo-Turkish war to break out in 1877. This resulted in the signing of the Treaty of San Stefano in March which would produce a Bulgaria dominated by Russia. Britain did not like this treaty and sent warships to counter it. The Austrians were also upset as the Russians had previously pledged to not create a large Bulgaria. While the Balkans were of no concern to Bismarck, he was worried about what the troubled Austrian-Russian relationship woudl cause
