Last week, 6 Hong Kong Legislative Councillors met with 4 US Congressmen. The chairman of the pro-establishment New People's Party, Regina Ip, said the six lawmakers had two consensus, including that the U.S.-China trade war should not hurt the Hong Kong and did not want to see any measures to sanction Hong Kong. James To and IP Kin-yuen, two pan-democratic legislators who also attended the meeting, said that Ip's remarks were not true. The only census they had was that the withdrawal of the amendment bill.
