Xiaoming Zhang , Director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council of China, met with the Hong Kong pro-establishment organization Path of Democracy in Beijing. After the meeting, Ronny Tong, convenor of the organization, said Zhang said that there was urgency in amending the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance and it was appropriate, reasonable and legal.
