Description:
The Relay Interpolator (Later called the Bell Labs Modell II) was a machine designed by Bell Laboratories for the testing of the M-9 gun director for the US Army. George Stibitz recommended that they use a relay-based calculator for the project. The Relay Interpolator used 440 relays and once it was programmable by paper tape, it was used for other applications for war.
