After World War I ended, the Allied powers came together to discuss terms of the treaty. It consisted of Germany had to take all the blame for WWI, making it very angry. By this treaty terms were:

Germany had to take full blame for World War.
Reparations: Germany had to pay all the allied powers for damage caused by World War I.

Germany was forced to reduce the size of their army.

Germany's land won on WWI would be taken away to five to the surrounding countries.

Germany was poor, not be capable to pay to the allied powers. The unemployment rate was high and people were not satisfied with the government in power.
