*Because of the Columbian Exchange, the founding of the New World, and the way the Europeans act, the Black Legend started to take place.* When the Spanish came over to the New World, they immediately started to take things for their own and oppress the natives. This term is used to show how brutal the Spanish were towards the Natives. This term is also used to show how the Spanish were challenged in the New World as well.
