Description:
According to her friend Philip McCurdy, she tries to cut her throat. This incident is referred to in Lady Lazarus. "The first time it happened I was ten. It was an accident." When they move, Aurelia initially places her in a 6th grade class, which she had been moved up to back in Winthrop but after realizing everyone is two years older, moves her back down to 5th.
