1 janv. 1850 - Phonautograph

Description:

1850’s the Phoneautograph was invented by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville who didn’t intend to use as an audio recording device, he simply wanted to see sound waves. Even though he invented the first recording device without listening to the record back nor was the intention to, it is still classed as the first ever audio recording device. Edouard was a printer and bookseller, during this time he came across a book about the human ear which he became interested in and constructed the Phonautograph based on the analog of the human ear.
