Description:

The Treaty of Paris gave formal independence to the new United States. It lead to defining the United State's border that Britain had no control over. This treaty further opened up navigation routes along the Mississippi River for trade. The Treaty of Paris was significant BECAUSE it gave independence to the United States which allowed them to enforce their own ideas and ways of doing things in the new country.
