Description:
As San Francisco, California rapidly increased in Chinese immigrants, parents and students did not have their needs meet due to the English, eurocentric curriculum that was being taught. After the Lau v. Nicols case, the court unanimously decided that students' with limited English proficiency did not receive supplemental instruction it would be a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. (J.T.
