4 h 48 min, 10 janv. 582 ans - Gondul briefs The Ruby Brotherband on what they aim to accomplish.

Description:

The meeting at Ebonheart
_____________________________

Gondul, sending word via carrier-pigeon to the two closest Brotherband soldiers; Vignar and Gudrune, requested a meeting in the Hlaalu House in Ebonheart, and waited there for them to arrive.

Once they did, Gondul explained that he had met with The Prophet and began explaining all he had learned.

1.) Recover the Amulet of Kings.

2.) Find a Dragonborn.

3.) Work with the Ebonheart Pact to conquer Cyrodiil.

4.) Rekindle the Dragonfires using the Amulet of Kings and rid Tamriel of the Planemeld.

5.) And finally — once they defeat Molag Bal — help in the construction of a New Empire.

Both Gudrune and Vignar were quite shocked at the elaborate plan. Eventually, after some minor debating, the two bold-hearted soldiers agreed on the plan. Vignar hastily reminded Gondul that the Brotherband must first recruit a great deal more soldiers. Gondul of course agreed, recommending their next move should be to vastly grow their forces and march on Cyrodiil.

The Amulet of Kings, also called the Amulet of Kings of Glory, is an amulet worn by Cyrodilic Emperors with the blood of a Dragonborn. The symbol of the Empire of Tamriel, the Red Diamond, (Chim-El Adabal), stemmed from the amulet. Only blood-relatives of Alessia or those chosen by Akatosh can wear the amulet, otherwise it slips off the neck.

Many theories exist as to its origin, the most commonly believed being that it is a crystallized drop of Lorkhan's blood following his defeat at the hands of Akatosh and Trinimac. Others believe that Akatosh formed the gem from his blood and gave it to Saint Alessia as a token of his willingness to keep mortals safe from the wrath of Daedric Princes. Other theories report that the amulet is, in fact, a Soul Gem of Ayleid origin.

The Dragonfires in the Temple of the One inside of the Imperial City go out upon the death of each Emperor, and must be lit anew by each new Emperor (who must be a Dragonborn) upon their coronation. Akatosh created the Dragonfires with a burning handful of his heart's blood. The Dragonfires themselves are the ward against the planes of Oblivion; though it has been suggested several times that it protects against all immortal realms. While they are lit, Daedra cannot exist permanently in Tamriel and portals to Oblivion are not possible.

The Amulet Of Kings and the Dragonfires seem to be parts of a whole - the Amulet of Kings was formed from the "tangled skeins of Oblivion" and the sinews of Akatosh's own heart. The Amulet of Kings must be available to light the Dragonfires, and it appears that the Dragonfires cannot burn if the Amulet is destroyed.
