22 mars 1765 - Stamp Act (22 mar 1765-18 mar 1766)

Description:

The British needed to gain money, as they were in debt from the 7 years war, so they made an act forcing all legal documents to have a stamp. All profits from the stamps went to the British Government. The colonists were upset at the act as they did not have any say in parliament in the creation of the act.
