27 mai 1958 - Wayne Bertram Williams

Description:

Williams became a suspect when police heard a "big splash" sound coming from the Chattahoochee River, suggesting something had been thrown in and the first automobile to exit the bridge belonged to William. 2 days later, the nude body of 27 year old Nathaniel Cater, was discovered in the river. Police thought that Williams had killed Cater and the body was the noise they heard. William failed 3 polygraph tests (means nothing now) and hairs and fibers were found on the body of another victim, Jimmy Ray Payne, were found to be consistent. Williams was arrested on June 21, 1981 for the murders of Payne & Cater. William received a life sentence. Cater was just 13.
