1 févr. 1945 - Yalta Conference

Description:

- Churchill
- Roosevelt
- Stalin

By this time, it was clear that Germany was losing the European war, so the Allied leaders met at Yalta, Ukraine to plan out the future.
* Stalin agreed to enter the war against Japan once Germany had surrendered
* The big three agreed that Germany would be divided into four zones: American, French, British and Soviet
(Berlin itself would also be divided into four zones)
* They agreed to hunt down and punish war criminals who were responsible for the genocide
* Countries liberated from occupation by the Germany army would be allowed to hold free elections to choose the government they wanted
* They all agreed to join the UN
* However, the main disagreement was about Poland. Stalin wanted the USSR to move westward into Poland but Churchill and Roosevelt were quite against it. Even so, they reluctantly agreed as long as Greece was not interfered with.
