11 févr. 1831 - Phenakitoscope (Fek-a-kiss-to-scope) is invented A device that uses spinning disks that are reflected in mirrors to simulate moving pictures - it is considered the first ever forms of media entertainment that paved the way for future inventions. The meaning possibly meant "optical deception", or more likely, "optical illusion" Created by "Joseph Plateu" and "Simon Stampfer"
