1 janv. 1652 - Founding of Dutch Settlement in South Africa
Description:
The fifteenth century in southern Africa saw the collapse of Great Zimbabwe into smaller states, followed by increasing European involvement. Europeans created alliances with local groups and intervened in conflicts in order to help advance their own interests. This led to Dutch mariners deciding to establish a trading post at Cape Town, followed by a large influx of Dutch colonizers.
