Description:

The literal grandfather of Charles Darwin released a book outlining many aspects of organisms. In his book, he described the laws of organic life, classified facts about animals and cataloged diseases with their treatments. Most importantly for this timeline, he released one of the earliest formal theories of evolution. He stated, "The final course of this contest among males seems to be, that the strongest and most active animal should propagate the species which should thus be improved". He believed that organisms with more favourable traits survived better and propagated more.
