Christopher Columbus was a Spanish explorer that wanted to find Asia, but ended up stumbling upon what would be one of the best discoveries known to man, the New World. *When Christopher found this New World, he or his people had contact with Mesoamerican civilizations.* The founding of the New World by Columbus meant that there are now new colonies and that there are more people to trade with.
