NHS 111 is the new non-emergency number that has been piloted in some parts of England. The service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. You should call 111 when you need medical help fast but it's not a 999 emergency.NHS 111 will be available across England from summer 2013.
