Description:

The Declaration of Independence was a statement saying that the 13 colonies were breaking off from Britain. I feel that this was the most important out of these five event because this made it official that the United States of America wanted to be its own country, which led to many other important U.S. events in history. The Declaration of Independence also showed the U.S.' goal and ideal of freedom. Without this declaration, the U.S. could still have been under British rule to this day.
