Deputies responded to Calypso around 1:30 p.m. for the report of a breaking and entering. The deputies encountered Jonathan Carter who had allegedly been holding a person against his will. That victim had gotten out of the home. Carter barricaded himself inside and threatened officers, leading to the standoff.
