Around 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to a battery in Avalon Park. Deputies said a man said he was struck by a woman as a result of a earlier disturbance with his 16-year-old daughter. Deputies confronted the woman at her house, and the 42-year-old woman came out of the house with a gun and pointed it at the deputies. Deputies Nathan Henley and Joseph O'Neil shot and killed her.
