“Mercurio Volante” by scholar Don Carlos de Siguenza y Gongora is mistakenly considered the first newspaper publication in 1691, however he was not a journalists, and his writing did not constitute as journalism. His work was considered another pamphlet. However, his work did help foster the beginning of journalism in Mexico, as he wrote literature on the triumph of spanish justice and is one of the most distinguished intellectuals in this time period in Mexico.Ajouté au bande de temps:
