Description:
Assassination of President James A. Garfield by Charles Guiteau at the Baltimore-Potomac Railroad Station. Garfield would spend the next two and a half months in the hospital, succumbing to his injuries on September 19, 1881, barely 6 months into his presidency. He was then replaced by his vice president, Chester A. Arthur.
