23 juill. 1894 - Labour Day becomes a holiday
Description:
Labour Day is celebrated after becoming an official national holiday. Winnipeg held a large Labour Day parade, stretching across 5 kilometres. The tradition quickly spread to the rest of the nation. Before it became a holiday, labour workers would have an annual celebration for the Toronto printers' strike and Nine Hour Movement in 1872.
