A week or so since Gondul had recruited the Khajiit J'Shearra, Gondul was residing in a Davon's Watch inn — paying off debts he owed to those who helped him after he escaped Cold Harbour.

He threw on his armor and Axe and bought some breakfast, exiting the inn and making a quick stop at the bank, depositing some of his gold. He was on his way out of town when a beautiful sound stole his ears.

Slowly, he followed the sweet noise and was gladly surprised to find a beautiful bard strumming a lute and singing sweet songs next to the fountain in Davon's Watch. He complimented her skills in the fine arts, and the two chatted for a bit. Gondul noticed she was barefoot, though he didn't mention it, not wanting to insult the beautiful blonde woman.

Gondul noticed her pale white eyes, and she explained that she was born blind — though 'Mara had blessed her with many gifts.' The two chatted some more, and the woman's name was revealed to be Rowena. Gondul gave her some coins and spare potions, and she offered a story in return.

His quest in uniting soulless ones' within The Ruby Brotherband weighed on him, however. Gondul, rather than enjoying the beautiful woman's tale, instead asked her if she knew of any soulless ones who lost their souls to Molag Bal.

The woman winced at the name, stating she had met a Nord woman named Gudrune not too long ago who had suffered that fate, and that she was somewhere in Davon's Watch still.

Gondul nodded thanks and departed in search of this woman.
