1 janv. 1953 - Second Five-Year Plan

Description:

The Second Five-Year Plan marked a plan of reversal of economic rationalism and the government encouraging US investment. Inflation did fall to single figures and the government policies appear successful. So the Five Year Plan has importance in crediting the Peròn regime for adjusting. But, Around the time inflation dropped the trade deficit was reduced and real wages were boosted. Production level had stalled however and the government had to distract workers by getting unions to attack opposition to the government. Failure to generate revenue had affected Peròn's position, and people started to lose faith in him.
