Description:

He sells his house. It’s too big for him, anyway, and the empty rooms just make him sad. He moves closer to Jem, glad to be around someone who could make him smile, sometimes. He’s a battered and bruised lump of messy scars and misery, but he tries to keep going day by day, not sure what he even wants the future to hold. He feels like he’s already had a life and watched it shatter to pieces in his hands. Giving him another seems careless.
