Description:

Gideon didn’t pass his medical examination. he can’t be redeployed. He’s been in hospital and recovery and then physical therapy ever since The Event, but his body just isn’t healed together like it used to be, and neither is his iron will. In the back of his mind… it feels like a relief. He gets the news right before his youngest’s birthday. He doesn’t know what to do with the news, but he futilely wishes it could make everything better.
