Description:

James Chadwick discovered the neutron in 1932, physicists knew that majority of the mass on the atom was located in the nucleus but they were unsure if it was only protons or other nuclei. In may 1932 He announced that the nucleus core contained not only a positive charge particle but and a new uncharged particle. Without the discovery of the neutron, our understanding of nuclear and radioactivity wouldn't have sparked and our life right now could be unadvanced.
