He becomes the first emperor in the Roman Empire. This was the year that the Roman Empire had started. Augustus started a reform in Rome as the city was trandofrmed with impressive new buildings. He created a standing army for the first time and expanded the territory of the empire. He ended a period of time where there were many civil war. After his rule, there were many years of peace in the empire.
