Description:
The USS Panay Incident was a Japanese attack on the USS Panay. The Panay had been anchored in the Yangtze River, and the attack led to the sinking and the ship. The Japanese had claimed that they though the ship was a Chinese Ship and paid an indemnity to the US, however this turned the US public against Japan.
