28 déc. 1833 - Creation of The Whig Party

Description:

The Whig party was created from President Jackson's rule and their belief od abuse of his presidential power. Led by Henry Clay, these voters tended to educators, professionals and business owned people. The party was in favour of the Second Bank of the United States, higher tariffs and legislation to help the panic of 1837. They got two presidents in office such as William Henry Harrison and Zachary Taylor along with two vice presidents who went on to become presidents like John Tyler and Millard Fillmore.
