22 déc. 1839 - Log Cabin and Hard Cider Campaign of 1840
Description:
The Whigs were now in power to defeat the Democrats as they were more organized and the voters were unhappy with the Democrat's role in the economy. The Whigs nominated William Henry "Tippecanoe" Harrison a war hero. To show his humbleness, they had put log cabins on wheels and showed them out in cities and towns as well as passing out hard cider and buttons and hats. Name calling also became prominent in this election.
