Description:

Occidere Vos
_______________

As Gondul rode for Deshaan from Davon's Watch, he stumbled upon quite the unusual scene.

He noticed an Argonian man fending off a Scamp on the side of the road. Gondul jumped off of his saddle and ran over to help, but the Argonian had killed the wretched thing before Gondul had time to draw his battleaxe.

After complimenting the Argonian's skill, the man requested to ride along side Gondul on his venture to Deshaan. Gondul agreed, the Argonian would prove to be a helpful hand in the next mile or so.

His name was Occidere Vos, young and strong. As the two men rode, they exchanged small talk — eventually stumbling upon a chest in which Occidere volunteered to unlock. As he was doing so, however, the roaring shriek of a Dark Anchor rang aloud nearby.

Gondul quickly pointed it out as the two men crouched down behind shrubbery. He mentioned to Occidere that he had seen one of them before at Solitude, and Occidere in turn explained he had personally dealt with them before.

The two stealthily crawled closer to get a better view, and were surprised to find many Necromancers circling the Anchor. One too many.

An emotionally-riveted Gondul gripped his battleaxe and was determined on cutting each of them down, angry and wanting to avenge his mates Norrin and Guilidus. Occidere calmed him down and pointed out the obivous — that they were greatly outnumbered, saving Gondul from a brutal fate. The two rode on and soon enough reached Deshaan, Gondul desperate to begin his search for more Soulless Ones.

However, the two riders were halted upon entering the city by a fellow Nord. The man explained that the city was dealing with the onslaught of a plague, and he questioned what their reasons were for entering the city. Gondul knew he couldn't give his true answer, it was too Dangerous.....

Occidere explained he was on some sort of commission for the Fighters Guild. Gondul carefully thought up his quick lie, explaining he had come to taste the towns mead. The Nord grinned, explaining that he wouldn't want to drink anything in Deshaan.

The Nord, who formally introduced himself as Vignar Wulfbane, requested the two riders aid him in recovering a ruin to the north — and in doing so be permitted into the city.

Obliged to stick with his lie and not reveal his true meanings of being in Deshaan, Gondul agreed to aid the Nord.

The three warriors made their way to the ruin in question and met a surprising amount of undead hordes, fighting decently large skirmishes together and finding that they each fight quite well together.

Following the broken bones and steel splinters, Gondul reveals his true reasons for coming to Deshaan, and Occidere and Vignar both reveal that they, too, have lost their souls to Molag Bal.

As the men surveyed the ruins, they eventually came to an impasse where they sat for a brief moment. Vignar and Gondul began speaking of their past-life in Atmora, sharing similar personal griefs about their respective home, and Vignar even revealing that he was a werewolf with Gondul.

The man was surprised at Gondul's positive and somewhat moot reaction to it. Not long after, Occidere chimed in and proceeded to explain his story of how he was a pit-fighter for a wealthy Imperial in the Imperial City arena, and of how he had lost his soul too Molag Bal as well.
