After General Nipia became a General of the Imperial Separatists, troops in southern Cyrodiil quickly realized how thin their numbers had become.

Realizing they were mostly disorganized and vulnerable in the South, the Separatist forces agreed to split the power of Command between two immediate Generals.

General Meric Renmus was the Imperial commander of the Thirteenth Legion, a unit that was ordered by Emperor Aquilarios to restore order in Senchal following the Knahaten Flu. The Thirteenth Legion wound up staying on as Senchal's protectors; being bestowed the name 'Shields of Senchal' by the city.

General Meric resides in the former royal palace along with his daughter, Aeliah.

General Renmus is a renowned tactician. According to Prefect Calo, his tactical withdrawal from Cheydinhal was studied at the legionary academy.

He, alongside General Nipia, begin to communicate to retain what few Separatist forces remain.
