Description:

The October Days forced the King and his family to move back to Paris.

King didn't want to go anywhere as he felt safer in his home, and with a sufficient amount of the 'Flanders Regiment (1100),' he felt he could deny the needs of the revolution.

The Kings loyalty was questioned - (Men wanted the end of the revolution and pledged allegiance to the Monarchy)

A Bastille hero, Maillard, - suggested that the Parisian revolutionary crowd needed to go to Versailles

When the crowd came and tens of thousands of militants arrived, they threatened Marie Anoitnettes life and Lafayette made an agreement with the king to sign the August Decrees and the DORMAC, and refused to go to Paris, instead of going to sleep.

Significance:
Established the authority of the Revolution and the people

Changed the power structure

Deputies of the National Assembly were indebted to the crowd

Consequences:
Power of the people terrified nobles, ausing them to flee in masses
