Description:

Doctor suspects allergy-triggered lung inflammation problem rather than costochondritis, since the costochondritis should have resolved by now. Prescribed Flovent (pharmacy doesn't have it). Said that tylenol/advil should help with the pain if costochondritis is the problem (i.e. if it's muscular rather than bronchial in nature). Recommended zyrtec every day and flonase (or prescription alternative in inhaler form) to address allergies and prevent recurrence. Personal opinion: still have costochondritis because it's being caused by covid rather than by allergies - have not coughed enough to pull or strain muscles and wasn't hurting at all, even with deep breathing, on Saturday morning. Suspect that covid attacks lungs, heart, chest wall muscles indiscriminately.
