While the Boxer Rebellion failed to accomplish its goal of driving foreigners off Chinese soil. They did create a sense of Chinese nationalism

Sun Yixian started this sense and took the lead of this movement. He had lived in America and saw how they function.

He spread these ideas of a republic and many people agreed with it.

They wanted the Bill of Rights and all the freedoms that Americans have.

While no agreement was ever reached about this problem, the Qing dynasty came to an end, but their thoughts on government remain the same
