2 avr. 1974 - Kathy Kozachenko wins seat in Ann Arbor City Council

Description:

Kathy Kozachenko became the first openly gay or lesbian person to be elected to a public office.

Maybe that’s the whole story, that ordinary people can do something that then other people later can look back on and feel really good that they did this." - Kathy Kozachenko

Significance: Brings equality for LGBT people and shows that LGBT people can become whatever they want to be and can be equal to everyone else.
