Description:
These riots were caused because of Mexican Immigrants wearing zoot suits. Zoot suits were viewed as wasteful and unpatriotic, or something thugs or delinquents would wear. Because this is how they were viewed, riots in which American soldiers attacked Mexicans wearing zoot suits occurred.Significance: displays nativism by citizens and government.
