Description:
On the 7th of November, the first Melbourne Cup was held in Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne. 4000 people gathered in Flemington Racecourse to watch a horse race not knowing that it would become one of the most celebrated sporting events. 57 race horses were to take part in the race but only 17 started.
