25 déc. 1914 - Christmas Truce
Description:
During World War I, hostilities in many places along the Western Front ceased in favor of the holidays. The soldiers declared a ceasefire for the holidays and even warmly communicated with each other and demanded the same from the countries of war, which in turn refused the official agreement on a ceasefire. During the truce, many German and British troops sang Christmas songs and wished each other a merry Christmas.
